Deli Eszter Kinga tükrei emlékeznek, az idő és a tér problémájával néznek szembe. Képei a nagyszülei üres, eladásra váró budafoki házában készültek. A nagyváros utcáinál, kávéházainál tehát sokkal intimebb térben, viszont egy üresedő, lakatlan házban, összetolt székek és asztalok között. Deli Eszter közelítése a gyászé. Nem rendezi be lakályosan, színekkel, ismerős tárgyakkal, helyekkel az üres teret, hanem szembenéz vele, tükröt tart az ürességnek. Űrt támasztani magunkban természetfölötti dolog. Lemondani az otthonosság biztonságáról ellentétben áll minden természetes emberi reakcióval. Kiüresedni annyi, mint megtapasztalni az egyedüllétet, az elmúlást, a halált. Deli Eszter viszont szereti annyira az igazságot, hogy szembenéz az idő legsúlyosabb problémájával az elmúlással, s elfogadja az ezáltal keletkezett űrt. Kegyelemből kapott bátorsága jutalma, hogy képein minden tárgy és emlék valós helyére kerül, s a kiállított tükrök minden térben új-s-új tartalommal gazdagodnak, időn és teren túli otthonosságot teremtenek. Őszintén kívánom mindannyiunknak, tapasztaljuk meg életünkben ezt a pluszt, adjunk teret a kegyelemnek, hogy megtölthesse életünket!

The mirrors of Eszter Kinga Deli are filled with memories. They face the problem of space and time. Her works were produced in the soon-to-be-sold house of her grandparents. In a more intimate place than the city streets and coffeehouses, but in a deserted house among stacked chairs and tables. Eszter Deli’s approach is that of mourning. Instead of making the empty space comfortable with colours and familiar objects she attempts to face and confront gap. She holds up a mirror to emptiness. It is a supernatural act to make a gap and open up a void in ourselves. To waive the comfort of our homes is contrary to human nature. To become empty and void is to experience loneliness, passing and mortality. Still, as Eszter Deli respects reality and truth, she faces our main problem of being rooted in time: death. She attempts to accept gap and emptiness, The fruit of her courage gained from grace is that every object and memory gets its proper place on her paintings and that the mirrors exhibited are enriched with newer and newer layers of meanings in each space they appear. They provide us with a home beyond space and time. Let me express my heartfelt wish that we all experience at one point the positive sign, give space to grace to fill our lives.
